| I'm very thankful that it is SPRING! Rather cool here but the sun is out behind the clouds and it gives a person more energy. So now I should wash some windows. Tillman and Elaine were here Tue.eve. and over nite. I invited Uncle Vilas,Aunt Mabel and Aunt Huldah to join us for supper. It was to celebrate Mabel's and Huldah's birthdays which are later this month. They will be 85 and 81 respectively. We had a very good evening. Dessert was ice cream and shoo fly cake. It is good to have Joel,Gwen and family back with us.They are living in a mobile home just around the corner on Grubb Rd.

| Another cold day...minus 1.9 this morning. Very windy. We are getting an old fashioned winter like I remember as a child. I thank God for a Warm home and pray for people who may be cold and can not help themselves. I cut 2 bags of fabric scraps recently and am glad to have that done. So far this winter I've made 4 comforters and pieced 4 more tops.Lots more fun than making dresses! |

| Winter It is snowing and blowing from the east....that means we could get some REAL winter weather! It's 19 degrees at nearly 8 o'clock. Today we went to Susie Beachy's and took her some K-1. She seemed very pleased. She said the last 5 gal we took her lasted about a month. Then we went to Mary's Market. Bought some goodies... Tonight was a bridal shower for Amy W. A snowy night to be out to be sure. I stayed about a half hr. She was receiving nice gifts...the ones that I saw. Now it's time for a cup of tea and maybe work on the puzzle. |

| We had a very nice Chritmas. Ernies were here for 2 days.Kim brought MH to meet us. I guess I should say he came to see her and met us....as a side line. Nice to have you here for a bit,MH. Ernies left this morning after a breakfast of oatmeal, boiled eggs, toast, Warmed dinner rolls,(leftover)pie, and ice cream, tea and coffee.Minnie, S, and Will came to see them off. Will ate a bite of breakfast also. It's good to have some leftovers eaten. We still have a choc. pie that was never cut. Any takers? I cleaned the house and Rob started picking out pecans that Ernies brought us from Miss. They are very nice.I helped later and we now have 5 lbs. in the freezer. What a blessing when they are over $8 a lb. in the store. It was up to 66 today and last Sunday it was bitter cold and windy. It's still very windy however. |
